![]() ![]() I only mention Google Drive because we had already backed up all these photos to there and bought the extra storage way back when. Again, we’re talking about 9 gb of pictures so Drop box or even iCloud isn’t an option. If anyone can shed some light on how this could be done with Google Drive or even some other means, I would very much appreciate it. ![]() I’d like to do this on my end before sending the tablet to my in-laws as they’re not technologically inclined and I don’t know how reliable their Internet connection is. My question now is… How can I download photos/files from Google Drive to the actual iPad? I’ve poked around online and have come across information on how to upload documents to google Drive, but nothing really about getting a batch of pictures off Google Drive and on to the iPad. And indeed, everything shows up from within the app. The Google Drive iOS app allows you to view anything you have stored in your Google cloud storage, as well as documents that have been shared with you by other Google Apps users. Then go to Files app, find and select the downloaded Google Drive files. First, in the Google Drive app, select the files you want to transfer, follow the steps: Open in > Save to Files > Save. I figured the simplest way to get them on there was to download Google Drive and install it on her iPad and log in with my wife’s Drive information as they’re all backed up to there. While Apple offers iCloud, pairing this with another cloud storage app from the App Store means more cloud storage space. As we use our iPhones more frequently in most times, it is also possible to transfer files from Google Drive to iCloud on the mobiles with Google Drive app. ![]() The iPad is associated with my mother-in-law’s Apple ID so my understanding is that I can’t just plug it into my computer and transfer them that way. So I’m sending an iPad to my in-laws in Germany and am trying to get some photos on to it for them. ![]()
